Where to eat

In the immediate neighbourhood of Long John’s Hotel, you will find numerous nice restaurants and friendly pubs, each with its own character. On the lovely square outside the hotel, or along the charming Krankeledenstraat. Pull up a chair for genuine Amersfoort hospitality!

Long John's pub

Besides a night in a fine hotel, at Long John’s you can also enjoy everything from a generous breakfast in the early morning to a warming drink in the late hours of the evening. In the cozy pub, on the outdoor terrace by the water or in the snug Garden House!

Boothill Saloon

Since 1988, the Boothill Saloon has been a household name in Amersfoort. A raw piece of the USA in the city centre. The place for American craft beers, delicious cocktails, rugged burgers and the best live music.

Juffrouw Jacoba

This crêperie serves the best crêpes, galettes and croques. Wonderful French food, friendliness and uncompromising kitsch, this is what to expect at Juffrouw Jacoba. Open for coffee, brunch and lunch until 18:00.

Hete kolen

At Hete Kolen (hot coals!) you will find attractive lunches and dinners. Inside this historic building or outside on the terrace, with a view of the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren (Tower of Our Lady). The no-nonsense dishes are prepared and served with loving care. Absolutely everything here is homemade!

Café Marktzicht

Once a small, well-known chess pub, now the craft beer and natural wine pub of Amersfoort. With delicious bar snacks, top burgers and homemade apple pie with cream. Come and enjoy some gourmet food on Marktzicht’s relaxed outdoor terrace.

Stadscafé Amersfoort

Stadscafé Amersfoort is where both the true ‘Keientrekkers’ (or ‘boulder tuggers‘ as the locals are called) and the visitors to the ‘Keistad’ (or ‘boulder city’) love to go. Admire artwork from Amersfoort on the walls while you enjoy your drink or dinner.
