Long John's Hotel (formerly known as the Lange Jan Hotel) is located in a beautifully renovated 18th-century building on a big square with several cafes and restaurants. The historical allure of Amersfoort is present all around: Long John's Hotel is located at the foot of the 'Lange Jan', the famous medieval Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren. The back of the hotel is peacefully located at one of Amersfoort's canals.
We are proud to say that Tripadvisor has named our hotel as 'the best cheap hotel in the Netherlands'. The atmosphere is cosy and personal, the rooms are pleasant and our hotel is located in the most central place of the country. You can either come and stay with us for a (romantic) weekend away or you can stay here for a business trip.
You are welcome to visit Long John's Pub during the entire day. For a generous breakfast or a cup of coffee with a newspaper in the early morning, a good lunch or dinner and of course for delicious bites with drinks. Feel at home in the cozy pub or on our sunny terrace with a cosy square or canal view.
Inside the pub there is also enough space to work with your laptop. There is free WiFi and electricity. For sports enthusiasts, we have a number of flat screens on which we broadcast matches. Want to see a specific match? Feel free to ask our colleagues about the possibilities!
In the backyard of Long John’s Pub, you’ll find our beautiful waterfront terrace and our cozy Tuinhuys. An oasis in the middle of the city center, perfect for a summer cocktail or a craft beer by the fireplace in winter. Outside of the peak season, you can also rent the Tuinhuys for a meeting or a celebration.
