Gecultiveerde lulligheid op een bedje van oorwurmen

Fokko Mellema is een Nederrock songwriter, die zijn relationele onvermogens graag serveert met een portie gecultiveerde lulligheid op een bedje van oorwurmen, afgetoefd met een klodder gitaargeweld. Even prakken. Voila! Fokko.

Sinds zijn eerste zelfgeschreven liedje in groep 7 over een dode hond gebruikt Fokko Mellema muziek om zijn problemen van zich af te schrijven. Fokko’s muzikale loopbaan begint op zijn zeventiende als songwriter/gitarist van punkrockband Jeremy’s. Na een TMF award en optredens op o.a. Lowlands en Zwarte Cross gooit Fokko het over een andere boeg met collegerockband Want Want, waar hij zelf in zingt en alle teksten in het Nederlands zijn. De band scoort een culthit met Kip Paard Koe. Na Want Want tourt Fokko onder zijn eigen naam van huiskamer naar huiskamer en brengt hij drie akoestische ep’s uit. Maar de gitaarmuur laat niet lang op zich wachten; in 2019 verschijnt Stadaarnietzodoeiets, de plaat waarop Fokko zijn powerpopsound opnieuw uitvindt, met behulp van een nieuwe band en producer Guido Aalbers. In 2020 verschijnt nakomertje KTLL (u mag een klinker kopen) en Karin Heeft Geen Corona raakt begin 2021 de juiste quarantainesnaar. 2022 is het jaar van EP FF en kersthit Ding Dong Ding Dong. En nu is daar ook Life Coach, over life coach Hans die Fokko maar een zeikerd vindt.

neat room with bathroom (only downside; shared toilet). nice view over the square and the employees are very sweet (they even put rose petals on the bed when I indicated that I wanted to). would definitely go there again!

The perfect central place to sleep in Amersfoort. Staff are very very welcoming and friendly. The suite is spacious, a bit dated, but is fine. Good price. View through the attic window on the Onze Lieve Vrouwentoren is very nice and at the front a view of the square (Lieve Vrouwenkerkhof). Nice food and drink what you can expect from a pub. In addition to Kilkenny and Guinness, various specialty beers on tap, cans and bottle. We will definitely come back here.

Great stay. Small but beautiful. Great for a weekend in A'foort. Located really in the center. Beautiful city garden on the water. Friendly staff. Nice whiskey, delicious breakfast. Got good advice where to park. Unfortunately the TV can only be viewed via link with your own phone or i-pad.....

What a nice place in the middle of the center. As a real Dutchman I don't like to pay too much and that is certainly not an issue here. Booked a small but very neat room for next to nothing, from where you can easily walk into the center.
